II have been
working in the museum and heritage sector for over
30 years most recentlyat the Royal College of
Surgeons of England, where I led the heritage team
to improve and modernise the College's museums,
special collections and grade ll* listed building.
This culminated in a newly refurbished Hunterian
Museum, which was shortlisted for the Gulbenkian
Prize 2006.
While at the College I carried out consultancy
work in the UK and USA and regularly employed freelance
workers, so I understand consultancy from both
sides - what the consultant needs from the client
and what the client seeks to achieve.
